Our member guide lets you know what you can expect from membership.
We have received a number of phone calls from members who want to know if they need to take any action as a result of the GMC's new legal requirement for doctors to have adequate and appropriate indemnity for their clinical work.
In most cases, providing you have the appropriate training and equipment, your membership would allow for this type of work.
We offer a wide range of subscriptions which are tailored for each member depending on the type and amount of work you do.
Your subscription will vary depending on the amount and type of work you do.
MDU professional indemnity is provided on an "occurrence basis". This means you can ask for our assistance as long as you were our member at the time of the incident which caused the claim.
As long as a member is appropriately trained and working within the law, you can request our assistance within the normal terms and conditions of membership.
If you are planning to work overseas, please let our membership team know.
Your subscription is based on the amount and type of work that you do.
