Oscar Mathew
Oscar is a barrister, mediator and door tenant at Lamb Chambers in Middle Temple. He has a background in regulatory and public law, and a special interest in medical law and ethics. Prior to his work with the Medical Mediation Foundation (MMF), he was a senior legal adviser to the GMC. His work with MMF includes training and mediating healthcare teams.
Dr Esse Menson
Esse became a consultant paediatrician in 2006 and an accredited mediator in 2014. She gained a PhD in vaccine development research before qualifying as a doctor, then trained in Infectious Diseases & Immunology. In 2012, she helped develop the Evelina Resolution Project with Medical Mediation Foundation (MMF) while she was a consultant at the Evelina London Children's Hospital. She's also an MMF trainer and has extensive experience in clinical education, conflict management and compassion training.
Dr Gaynor Whiter
Gaynor graduated from Cambridge University in 1989 and worked as an obstetric and neonatal SHO, before commencing training in anaesthetics. In 1997, she qualified as a solicitor and with the dual qualification worked in legal practice defending pharmaceutical product liability actions, and assisting doctors and other healthcare professionals with regulatory and clinical negligence cases. Gaynor joined the MDU in 2011 to assist doctors as a medico-legal adviser.
