Good Medical Practice - have your say

With less than a month to go until the GMC closes its public consultation on Good medical practice, we're urging members to get involved.

Thomas Reynolds, the MDU’s head of governmental and external relations, says:

"This is such an important consultation. Good medical practice sits at the heart of everything the GMC does in regulating the profession. It sets out the standards and behaviours expected of all doctors practising in the UK, and this new version of the guidance is a significant evolution from what is currently in place.

"We've been studying the proposals carefully and we'll be providing a robust and considered response to the GMC. It is vital the GMC gets this right. To that end, the profession's voice must be heard, loud and clear.

"That’s why we're encouraging members to get in touch with us, and let us know what you think of the changes proposed. This is your chance to help shape the MDU consultation response."

This is a rare opportunity to actively shape a fundamental piece of guidance from the GMC. Members, share your views with us here.

Details about the proposed changes can be found here.
