Financial redress for survivors of child abuse in care - Scotland
Survivors of childhood abuse, which occurred in care in Scotland, can now apply for advanced redress payments from the Scottish government. The scheme will be open to people who have a terminal illness or are aged 70 or over, and from May 2019 onwards, doctors in Scotland will be asked to complete forms certifying that an applicant meets the required criteria.
