Doctors will often face situations where they have to think about whether a patient's fitness to drive might be affected by an illness. And in certain circumstances, you may have to make a decision on whether to disclose information about that patient to the DVLA/DVA, or even to the police.
These situations can be sensitive and occasionally difficult to deal with, so knowing how to proceed and where to find the right information is vital.
This online module will help you learn where to find information on the medical standards for fitness to drive, when and how to report concerns to the DVLA/DVA, and what action to take if a patient continues to drive against medical advice.
You'll also have the opportunity to work through some hypothetical cases and review your knowledge with a short quiz at the end of the module.
