Remote consultations webinar

We take you through the latest guidance, offer practical tips on delivering safe and effective remote consultations and discuss medico-legal considerations.

27 October 2020

Length: 1 hour

This increase has naturally raised a number of questions among doctors about how to hold these consultations effectively and appropriately, and since the pandemic took hold we've helped with a wide range of queries from members on the subject.

In order to address these, we held a live webinar in October 2020 to help doctors navigate the medico-legal aspects of remote consultations – and if you weren't able to catch the webinar live, you can watch the recording below.

Presented by medico-legal adviser Dr Edward Farnan, and with assistance from Drs Udvitha Nandasoma and Samantha Bell, the webinar covers:

  • tips on delivering effective remote consultations
  • the latest guidance and regulations
  • pre- and post-COVID-19 practical tips
  • medico-legal advice on issues such as consent, confidentiality and remote prescribing
  • Q&A session on common queries.

We'll also be adding this topic to our range of hospital based seminars and GROUPCARE seminars shortly. Contact your local liaison manager to register your interest.
