The Medical Defence Union’s (MDU) In-House Legal (IHL) team has been shortlisted for the LexisNexis Legal Awards 2026, which celebrate excellence and innovation across the UK legal profession.
The IHL team, which provides legal representation to MDU members facing clinical negligence claims or fitness to practise investigations, has been nominated in the ‘Customer Focus’ category.
Their entry highlights the team’s extensive medico-legal expertise and their tailored, holistic approach to supporting members through complex and often lengthy cases.
Commenting on the nomination, Nick Tennant, Head of Legal Services at the MDU said:

Award winners will be announced at a ceremony on the 17 April 2026 in London.
