A complaint has been made against you to the GMC and the case examiners believe they have evidence that your behaviour or performance has fallen below acceptable standards and warrants formal censure. However, they do not believe the allegation against you justifies referral to a fitness to practise panel.
As part of their investigation, the case examiners are asking you to provide comments to help the GMC make a final decision and to determine the terms of the warning.
You are not obliged to accept the warning. Be aware that while accepting a warning has the advantage of avoiding a fitness to practise hearing, it will be published on the GMC website. You should discuss the implications of accepting a warning, or otherwise, with your MDU adviser and legal team before responding.
